Dr. Vanessa Jensen
Dr. Vanessa Jensen received her diploma in the Department of Genetics (from Prof. A. Pühler) at Bielefeld University.
As part of the PhD program ”Infection Biology“ at the Hannover Medical School, she did her PhD at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in the areas of intra- and intercellular signalling of bacteria, biofilm formation and quorum sensing.
Following her thesis, Dr. Jensen worked as a PostDoc at Twincore – Center for Experimental and Clinical Infection Research. Her field of work covered diverse topics in molecular bacteriology.

Dr. Mirza Mačković
Dr. Mirza Mačković has obtained his diploma in materials science and engineering (graduate engineer) from the Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU) Erlangen-Nuremberg.
He received his doctoral degree in engineering sciences from the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and gained professional experience in materials science and engineering, automotive and project management.
Subsequently, Dr. Mačković worked for several years as a postdoctoral researcher at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. During this period he was active in research and development (R&D) of innovative materials und processes in relation to materials technology, electronics, nanotechnology and medical technology. Moreover, he gained experience as team manager and contributed to R&D project proposals and applications.
Dr. Mačković has leadership experience in R&D und industrial experience related to materials/plastics technology, power electronics, product development and technology and innovation management.

Dr. Maria Kamper
NanoBiophotonics (
Prof. Hell). During her PhD she was concentrated on the directed evolution and characterization of bacteriophytochromes for deep-red, high resolution microscopy. Throughout her time at the institute she gained a lot of experience in several technical and biological topics especially optics.
Subsequently Dr. Kamper worked for
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences as an application specialist for flow cytometers. This time was instructive in terms of technical aspects and various applications.
